If you look very closely, and if you use your imagination, you can see just a hint of green at the top of this willow tree.

And unless Mother Nature is playing a cruel joke on me, the
white thing in the center of this crocus is a bud.

These faint signs of spring seem late to me. In fact, last year I photographed that tree from our old house, and it was greener on Feb. 27 of last year than it is now.

The calendar says spring starts 2 weeks from tomorrow, but I'm wondering if spring knows that!
