I see there's a new composting center in Spanish Springs. R. T. Donovan Co. is about the same distance from downtown Reno as the Lockwood dump. The Donovans charge $5 a cubic yard with a $10 minimum to dump yard trimmings. Waste Management's transfer station on Commercial Row charges about $17 for a small pickup load.
