New Northern Nevada garden blog
I've just added a new blog to my garden blogroll: The Carson Gardener. I'll be checking it often to compare Jeff Moser's garden to mine and to learn from his experiences. He has plenty of great photos. I can see already that the spinach seeds I planted in April should have been up and growing long before now.
April was rough with the warm days and snowy days. I'm going to mulch the soil with straw next year to keep the soil a more constant temperature in early spring.

By the way, we used the Sunset plan for our beds, too. I haven't tried putting covers over the hoops, but maybe I should next spring. When I heard "cool season crops" I expected the seeds to tough it out, but they didn't!
