Finally! First flowers
I finally have not one but three kinds of flowers blooming! I saw the hellebore the other day, and I noticed the blue one and the crocuses today while I was gathering things to plant seeds in.

I'm pretty sure this hellebore is a Lenten rose. (It's either a Christmas rose or Lenten.rose) It needs shade, so I planted it under a shrub and it's barely visible under drooping branches, among dead grass, and behind irises. It's officially my first flower of the year.
Here's the next. I'm not 100 percent sure about this, but I think it's an Ipheion and is sometimes called a star flower.
And here are some good old crocuses. I really only like the purple ones, but I've waited so long for something to bloom I was thrilled to see these!
I think the bronze geranium (cranesbill) leaves around the gold crocus flowers are pretty, too.
And hasn't it been great to have some sunshine this week? Apparently the flowers were waiting for it.

They're all pretty and worth the wait. The hellebore is interesting....
