Not just a full moon--the biggest and brightest full moon
This goes beyond my little natural world, but I'm looking forward to it and I thought it was worth mentioning here.
NASA says the full moon tomorrow night (Dec. 12) will be "the biggest and brightest full Moon of the year." The site explains, in scientific terms such as "apogee" and "perigee," how it's possible for the moon to really be (appear) bigger than normal.
I'm a little worried about the weather. After days of clear skies we have a 50 percent chance of precipitation tomorrow night. Think there's any chance the moon will be so big and bright we'll be able to see it through clouds?
