Whenever I was bored when I was an adolescent, I would track down my mom and demand, "Let's talk about Laurie!" She always agreed. When she put together a scrapbook for me for my
college graduation, she used "Let's Talk about Laurie!" for the title. I cherish every link I have to her, including this phrase.
This year a pair has decided to nest in a planter I have hanging on the patio screen. I planted verbena in it last year, but I'd much rather have the doves.
